British Infection Association 27th Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting with the Spring Trainee Day is taking place from 20-21 May 2025.

The two-day event will be held at the Hilton, Newcastle Gateshead and is aimed at specialists and consultants in infection, as well as trainees, including microbiology, virology, clinical infectious diseases, public health, antimicrobial pharmacists, biomedical scientists and infection prevention and control practitioners.

We hope that as many people can join us in person as possible and everyone is welcome at both days. The Programme will be available shortly, but topics include:

  • HIV management strategies
  • Launch of BIA Malaria Guidelines
  • One Health drivers of antimicrobial resistance in low-resource settings
  • Commissioning NHS Infectious Diseases services - fit for the future
  • Use of biomarkers in sepsis
