To stimulate interaction between junior and more senior researchers in the virology community in the Netherlands, a Virology Network Day will be held on Friday November 14 from 10:00-18:00 at the new location of the RIVM in Utrecht.

Virology PhD-students and postdocs currently employed at a Dutch university or research institute are kindly invited to apply for participation, before June 1st. Limited spots are available, so a selection procedure based on motivation to participate, geographical spread and research topics might be needed. Applicants will be informed no later than July 1st whether they are selected for participation.

A detailed program is still in preparation, but previous Beijerinck premium laureates Debbie van Baarle, Frank van Kuppeveld, Debby van Riel, Marit van Gils, Jelke Fros and Pascal Miesen have agreed to participate. Furthermore, the day will include a workshop on Science Communication by Thoughtful Stories. Lunch and drinks are included. No registration fee is required.
