KNAW Beijerinck Prize and Premium for Virology 2015
The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) awards the Beijerinck Virology Prize and the Beijerinck Premium every two years. These two prizes are established by the M.W. Beijerinck Virology Fund.
The Beijerinck Virology Prize rewards a scientist whose achievements in the field of virology, including the biochemical and biophysical aspects, are internationally outstanding. The winner is rewarded with EUR 35,000 and a medal representing the portrait of M.W. Beijerinck.
The Beijerinck Premium rewards a talented postdoctoral researcher who has carried out virus-related research at a Dutch university or institute. The winner is rewarded with a premium of EUR 25,000.
